Abrasive Blasting Is Now In-House
For 35+ years, surface preparation on Endurance Painting projects has meant coordinating with an outside blasting contractor, or handling it in the field ahead of a coating crew. That's changed. We now operate our own dedicated shop blasting facility, giving us abrasive blasting capability in-house for the first time — under the same roof, and often the same crew, as the coating work that follows it.
This doesn't replace our field capability. Structural steel, tanks, and fixed equipment that can't be transported are still blasted on-site the way they always have been. What's new is a shop option: components, fabricated parts, and equipment that can be brought to us now get blasted and coated at one facility, on one schedule, without a separate blasting subcontractor in the loop.
The practical effect is fewer moving pieces on a project. No waiting on a blasting sub's availability before coating can start. No handoff between two companies with two schedules. Blast today, coat tomorrow, out the door — all coordinated by the same team that's accountable for the finished result.

Blasted to the specified SSPC cleanliness level and anchor profile ahead of coating — SP 6 Commercial Blast or SP 10 Near-White, documented with Testex tape on request.

Field Blasting Still Available
Large or fixed assets that can't be moved to the shop are still blasted and coated on-site, the same mobile capability we've always provided.

What Fits Shop Blasting vs. Field Blasting
Shop blasting is the right call for anything that can be transported to our facility — the enclosed bay gives us consistent conditions and no weather delays. Field mobile blasting remains the right call for anything too large, too heavy, or too fixed in place to move.

Do you blast on-site or in a shop?
Both. We still run mobile field blasting and painting crews for structural steel, tanks, and equipment that can't be moved. Our new in-house shop facility adds a second option: components, parts, and equipment small enough to transport can now be blasted and coated at our own facility in a controlled, enclosed environment.
What surface prep standards do you meet in the shop?
We blast to the SSPC cleanliness and anchor profile standard specified for the job — typically SSPC-SP 6 (Commercial Blast) or SP 10 (Near-White Blast) ahead of coating application. Profile can be documented with Testex tape on request.
Can I bring parts or equipment to your facility for blasting?
